See what the ottawacitizen.com had to say about the HUGlight: Cool Tools“Ever tried repairing a leaky sink trap while holding a flashlight? It’s difficult, if not impossible. Now it’s HUGlight (by ShowerTek Inc.) to the rescue. Coil its flexible wire arms so it sits on a flat surface, flip on the four LED lights at the end of its two tails, and you’ve got enough illumination to do an appendectomy. Covered in soft foam, the arms also wrap around your neck for household repairs and bedtime reading. The lights, two spot and two wide-angle, operate independently. Runs for 40 hours on two AA batteries. $14.95 at www.mylight.com and coming to Wal-Mart, Costco and other retailers.” ]]>
See what “Places we go” had to say about the HUGlight: Lugging, Hugging, and Mugging“Covered in fuzzy orange with a pink flashlight thingie wrapped around my neck, I was quite the sight on our 10-hour flight to the Netherlands a few weeks ago… Then along came the HUGlight ($19). It’s a one-piece, hands-free, flexible LED light, 13 inches long when stretched out. I love them all. Diane appreciates the versatile HUGlight. ![]() HUGlight – BUY NOW See what “Star-Telegram” had to say about the HUGlight: Tech the halls: gifts for gadget-lovers“Few things are as comforting as curling up under a Snuggie with a good book; few things are as frustrating as curling up and not having enough light to read the book you curled up with. The lightweight HUGlight is a flexible, soft foam tube with LED lights on either side, one for wide angle, the other a spotlight; there’s a rubber grip neck pad in the back to hold it in place once you get cozy. You get 40 hours of light off two AAA batteries. In several colors for $14.95, at Walmart, Costco and other retailers or www.mylight.com. And yes, we love our Snuggie, silly as it looks.” ]]>![]() HUGlight – BUY NOW See what “Boing Boing” had to say about the HUGlight: “Of the many booklights I’ve tried, this one ($15 at Amazon) is the best. With four LED lights, two on the end of each flexible stalk, the clincher is that it’s never clutter. It can be molded into a bedside lamp, hung around the neck for weightless book reading, wrapped around the wrist for plumbing jobs, and so on. Some suggested configurations: ‘The Charmed Snake’, ‘The Helix’, and ‘The Pistol’. I understand that the official term for the configuration depicted in the PR photo is ‘The Screamer’. “ ]]>![]() HUGlight – BUY NOW See what “ABC News” had to say about the HUGlight: Last-Minute Gadget Gifts That Won’t Break the BankFor the book worm who likes to read herself to sleep or the Jack-of-All-Trades who pokes around in poorly-lit places, try the Huglight. Description
Guide Review – HUGlight Review: Traveling with a HUGlight The HUGlight is one of my latest travel gadgets, and I must say, a new found favorite. The HUGlight’s foam arms are flexible, so you can have both arms pointed wherever you need the light. The four LEDs are quite bright. I think the HUGlight is really nice for travelers, especially if you want to go hiking or camping in Scandinavia. It doesn’t weigh much and fits in a backpack nicely. I like that the HUGlight’s package includes the two AAA batteries needed. Plus, you don’t have to have the lights on both arms on – for example, you can bend the HUGlight to stand up like a table lamp. Came in handy during a power outage in one of the budget hotels in Helsinki… I haven’t found a downside to the HUGlight but make sure all LEDs on yours work – my first HUGlight had a defective arm, but MyLight sent a new one right away. And I can’t confirm the 40-hour lifespan for the batteries quite yet. MSRP is $15, and the HUGlight comes in 6 color combinations. The plastic packaging was a little hard to open.” ]]>![]() Latch Light – BUY NOW William Hageman from the Chicago Tribune wrote this very nice article about the Latch Light: “Hikers, fishermen and campers can brighten their lives with a handy new gadget, the MyLight LED Latch Light. Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, the waterproof light can fit in your pocket or tackle box or attach to backpacks, tents, key chains or belt loops. (It can also be set up as a tiny spotlight for those late-night card games.) The light is about the size of a Ping-Pong ball, and casts light in white or red (for those nighttime adventures).” ]]>![]() Latch Light – BUY NOW The Dallas News had the following to say about the Latch Light: “Getting ready for a camping trip this summer? It’s available in blue, pink, charcoal and clear. It comes with two lithium batteries and has an average battery life of 40 hours. The LEDs never need to be replaced.
